AmCham China is looking for interns for several departments: Communications, Operations and Events, and Government Affairs. See below for detailed descriptions. 

Communications Intern (Digital and PR)

*Develop website content
*Assist with AmCham China announcements and events
*Assist with multimedia resources (podcasts, photos and possible video)
*Proofreading and formatting of site content
*Help to coordinate social networking sites
*Research best communications practices of other chambers
*Support Business Now content development
 
Required skills:
*Experience in writing and editing
*Healthy interest in social networking sites
*Knowledge of multimedia platforms (i.e. podcasting)
*Proficiency with web-based tools
*Familiarity with web editing and multimedia software
*English-Chinese translation skill is a must
 
Communications Intern (Magazine，Native English Speaker)

杂志实习生（母语为英语人士）

*Pitch and develop articles
*Transcribe and fact-check interviews
*Write summaries of chamber events
*Take and organize photos from chamber events
*Copyedit and proofread magazine
 
Required skills:

*Experience in writing and editing in an engaging, journalistic style
*Ability to meet deadlines
*Familiarity with using style guides, preferably Associated Press style
*Ability to work effectively on a team
*Familiarity with Adobe InDesign desired, but not required
 
Operations and Events Intern

运营和活动实习生
*Attend events and write short reports to be published in weekly e-newsletter and monthly magazine
*Support signature events such as forum conferences
*Support AmCham-China initiatives in small business, trade and investment
 
Required skills:
*Solid writing and editing skills
*Experience in research
*Attention to detail
*Work well in team situation as well as individually
*Experience or interest in event support

Government Affairs Part-time Policy Intern (Native English Speaker)

政府事务部政策实习生（兼职， 母语为英语人士）
*Draft additional policy memos, and conduct ad-hoc research relevant to foreign business in China
*Support events on an ad-hoc basis at AmCham China
*We strongly encourage interns to produce further research under the direction of the Policy Analysts for use in AmCham China’s publications and for internal use, and encourage interns to be proactive with their research abilities. 
 
Required Skills:
*Very strong writing and editing skills
*Attention to detail
*Experience in research
*Experience or interest in event support
*Flexible, proactive, and able to manage delegated tasks
*Solid understanding/interest in US-China economic policy
*Oral and written Chinese an asset
 
Government Affairs Intern (Native English Speaker)

政府事务实习生（母语为英语人士）
*Play an active and integral role in the AmCham China policy team
*Help coordinate events related to policy discussions and US government
*We strongly encourage interns to produce further research under the direction of the Policy Analysts for use in AmCham China’s publications and for internal use, and encourage interns to be proactive with their research abilities.

Government Affairs Intern (Native Chinese Speaker)

*Support events on an ad-hoc basis at AmCham China
*Research and provide up-to-date memos on current US and China policies effecting business in China
 
Required Skills:
*Strong writing and editing skills
*Experience in research
*Attention to detail
*Flexibility and initiative-taking
*Solid understanding or academic background in US-China economic policy
*Fluency in oral and written English

Applications must be in English, and include a one-page cover letter detailing candidate’s interest and qualifications and a one-page resume. Those interested in writing for the magazine must submit a writing sample of at most 3,000 words. Only currently enrolled students (college or graduate school) are eligible. Chinese and expatriate students are encouraged to apply.

Also, please include the following: available dates and preference for full time or part time; department preferences; current location; and citizenship and visa status with regards to China (i.e. Chinese, expat in Beijing on an X visa).
